After learning essential workshop safety procedures and expectations, our Grade 10 Tech & Skilled Trades students took on an exciting hands-on challenge: building working sinks! From drafting their initial plans and selecting materials to choosing the right tools, students worked individually and in teams to bring their designs to life. On, September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our Grades 1–8 students had the opportunity to take part in a meaningful and hands-on learning experience with two wonderful guest speakers. Our Secondary Gym students enjoyed an amazing day on the water as they participated in canoeing and kayaking! Students had the opportunity to build their paddling skills, work together as a team, and challenge themselves while exploring the outdoors. What a fantastic way to stay active, connect with nature, and celebrate the warm weather.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our students, parent volunteers, staff, and community members, we continued transforming our outdoor space by creating new flower beds, planting shrubs and perennials, and enhancing the natural beauty of our school grounds. What a fantastic Science Fair at Heritage Academy!
