Heritage Academy’s Secondary School in Ottawa offers a supportive, academically engaging program for students in Grades 9 to 12.
As an Ontario Ministry of Education Inspected Private School, we grant credits toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), ensuring our students receive a recognized and high-quality education that meets provincial standards.

Our curriculum follows Ontario Ministry guidelines and is designed to accommodate diverse learning styles, interests, and post-secondary goals. Students select from a wide range of courses, including de-streamed, academic, applied, and open-level options in Grades 9 and 10, and university, college, university/college, and workplace preparation courses in Grades 11 and 12.
Our semestered schedule allows students to focus on up to four courses per term, promoting deeper understanding and better time management.

Heritage Academy is rooted in the belief that all students can achieve success when provided with the right tools and environment.
Our individualized learning approach supports students at all academic levels, with small class sizes, resource assistance in key subjects, and targeted support plans where needed. We place strong emphasis on developing essential skills such as independent learning, self-advocacy, organization, and critical thinking.

Post-secondary preparation is a central focus of our high school program. Students receive personalized academic guidance and participate in career/life planning activities based on the “Creating Pathways to Success” framework. Experiential learning that includes field trips, community involvement, and project-based work. Students learn to connect classroom lessons to real-world experiences and helps students explore career options.

We also offer remedial support and tutoring services, ensuring students remain on track and confident in their academic progress. Learning strategies and study skills are explicitly taught to help students succeed not just in high school, but in post-secondary education and beyond.
