This past Monday, our Grade 7 and 8 students spent the day at the Baxter Conservation Area, where they explored biodiversity, pond ecosystems, and invasive species through hands-on, outdoor learning.
The trip supported and reinforced key concepts from both Science and Geography in a real-world setting.
Grade 7 students learned about Invasive Species and practiced Outdoor Survival Skills, while Grade 8 students applied their GPS and Geocaching knowledge and also took part in Outdoor Survival Skills activities.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect what they’ve learned in the classroom with the natural environment, and to enjoy a day of exploration and discovery.
