Exploring Impact Craters (Grade 12 Earth Space Sciences)
Last week, our students gave an engaging demonstration to the younger grades, showing how different materials, such as soil, rock, and water, can affect the size of a crater and the dispersal of debris when a meteor hits the Earth. They also tested methods to improve the accuracy of dropping objects from the roof to hit a target. Students put their learning into action by dropping marbles into pans of flour and sugar to observe how crater size changes in relation to the size of the marble.
From Garden to Table (Grade 12 Nutrition and Health)
Last week, our students harvested fresh produce from our school gardens and transformed it into a delicious meal for both students and staff to enjoy. The experience allowed them to see firsthand the rewards of their hard work and the importance of sustainable living. A big thank you goes out to our Roots and Shoots Club for their dedication and care in growing and maintaining our garden throughout the season. Your efforts truly made this wonderful meal possible!
