This morning continued our journey through a 5 week literacy focus for students in our Elementary to Intermediate grades.

Each student in Grades 2-8 has been divided into mixed leveled groups and will be working together on activities centered around a short story. Our focus for the month of May is on stories from the Indigenous People of Canada. Today's story was a Cree Story — The Granddaughter who was Eaten by a Big Fish.

Each week, each group rotates around to different classes (some outdoors) to dissect the story of the week through a variety of different scopes - STEM, Music, Drama, Art and Dance.

Literacy and creativity go hand in hand!
