Although new to our team but not new to teaching Ms. Laura Vincent is already showing our Science students how to bond with hands on activities!

Ms. Vincent used the following photographed activity to reinforce the concepts of bonding, after the class discussed Ionic and Covalent Bonds. Each group of students received 1 bag of candy, toothpicks, a candy key, and colored pencils. After they colored in the key according to their candy 'elements', they made each bond and filled in the chart. This activity allowed for students to practice their understanding of molecules, while having fun - and a sweet treat at the end.

Thank you Ms. Vincent for being such a SWEETheart!
