Once again Heritage staff and students along with the Biodiversity Conservancy Sand Dune Team spent the day learning about the life of a unique group of organisms that call the Pinhey Sand Dunes their home.

From learning about the metals found in our sand, the origins of these dunes and the organisms that call it home our students had a great day. They explored, questioned and even got their hands dirty with some conservancy efforts!

Thank again to Joanne Hakkakku and the Biodiversity Conservancy International scientists and conservationists for teaching us about this delicate habitat!

We acknowledge that we are on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people, who have cared for this land for generations.
