Welcome to the 2017/2018 academic year.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Tuesday September 5th, 2017
Students should report to the small gymnasium by 9am for their classroom assignments.
MEET THE TEACHERS: Parents/Guardians are invited to come and meet the school administrators and teachers on Thursday, September 7th from 4-5pm. In class teacher meetings will begin at 4:15pm and last until 5pm. Please enter through the gym doors where an administrator will meet you and direct you to your student's room(s). We kindly ask that students remain in our afterschool programming or stay at home, during this event.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: The following school supplies will be provided to students: textbooks, workbooks, paper, pencils, pens, eraser, ruler, and other. Please note that students must supply their own agendas, binders and scientific calculators. Students that misplace or damage any school supplies will be required to replace them.
UNIFORMS: Order forms for both our standard and athletic uniforms have been included in this package.
Parents/Guardians that require uniforms must submit their order before August 20th. Uniforms will be provided to students once their order has been fully received.
Uniform orders can be dropped off to the mailbox at the front of the school. Please note the school will be closed in August but the mailbox will be monitored for these orders.
S.M.T: Students enrolled in the SMT/EMS program will begin their lessons on Monday, September 11th.
COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SCHOOL AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Parents/Guardians must report all absences, late arrival, early pick ups and/or notifications of other special arrangements to email@example.com. In order to ensure parents/guardians are kept informed, Heritage Academy provides parents with a monthly newsletter by email from the Director. Teachers will also be providing parents with semi-monthly emails and/or websites containing pertinent information regarding their child’s curriculum, upcoming events, due dates and outings.

Athletic Wear Order Form (Please note that if your child is in any physical fitness course they must have a proper gym uniform - athletic shoes, black shorts and plain white T-shirt or a Heritage Academy athletic t-shirt).
Standing Permission Form
The following will be provided to students at the beginning of the school year:
Student Timetable – Students will receive 2 copies of their timetable (one for them to keep, and a copy to go home for their parent/guardian). The timetable contains the following information: the subjects they are enrolled in, the teacher(s) assigned to each class, the room allocation, and the time the subject is being taught.
Student Handbook - containing information on school and classroom procedures as well as rules and regulations.
